Well, I had a lot of fun participating in the Stone Accents Studios design contest. I even made it to round 3! However, I decided not to continue on to round 3 because I know I need more time to practice designing and I also wanted to slow down and enjoy the Christmas season with my family. Holiday Medley Kit

I started working on this kit last week, intending to work on it a little at a time, & then give it out as a freebie in a few weeks. Then I found out that the theme for the designer contest was Christmas, and I decided to finish it up this week to enter it. I like this kit better than my Happily Ever Kit. I really enjoyed working on it, though I haven't accomplished much else, namely housework. Is this the life of a designer??? :)

You can download the kit by going to Stone Accents Studio after 7 pm EST on Friday. The SAS staff will be adding the links to each kit. Be sure to check out the last round if you haven't already, there are 17 gorgeous kits there for you to download!The voting is by a poll in the forum this time, because last round there was a glitch & the vote count was accidentally reset. At the time of this writing, there are 6 other fabulous kits in the contest gallery. Last round, I was amazed by the talent of the designers who entered, I'm sure this round will be just as same!

For the blog freebie, I am giving away a set of Christmas Cards I made. I made them for myself to use this year as well as to give them to friends and family as gifts. I hope you enjoy them as well!

Contest Open @ Stone Accents Studio

Ok, I told myself I was in this for fun, just to see how well I would do, that I wasn't going to be nervous at all. Well, guess what? I am nervous! LOL! There are soooo many awesome kits in the contest!! Luckily my husband has to use the computer all night & most of tomorrow, or I would drive myself batty checking to see how it was going. I am taking my oldest daughters to Festival of Trees tomorrow, & we are watching Polar Express tonight. Plus I have about 12 loads of laundry & a dirty house to clean this weekend. So, I should be too busy to stress this weekend too much! LOL So please download my kit & if you want to see what I come up with for the next round, vote for me! Have a great weekend.

What a way to make my debut into the digi scrap world! It is totally in line with my personality! I am the kind of gal that would move in to a new house and be so excited to meet my new neighbors that I would invite everyone over to dinner and then get home and realize I haven't even unpacked yet LOL!

I've been working on making kits to give out as freebies and I've been intending to set up a blog, start giving out freebies, and THEN maybe enter a few designing contests for fun. That is how most do it, right? Well, never to be conventional, I'm doing things kind of backwards! LOL! I heard about the contest over Stone Accents Studio and decided on a whim to enter. Then I made a kit for the contest and submitted it! Then I made a few add ons to give out on my blog.... and realized I haven't set up a blog yet! ROTFLOL!!!! So I created a blog, and here I am, inviting you all to stop by and pick up the first Add on to the Happily Ever After kit I made for the contest at Stone Accents Studio. I hope you will excuse my "bare walls" (no header or blinkies or links) and just enjoy the freebies. Hopefully by next week, I'll be able to decorate my blog and make it a warm, comfy place to be.
